We continue to take in more and more dogs each year. For those dogs that have suffered abuse and neglect as well as those that are no longer able to be cared for or are simply unwanted, the Dogs’ Refuge Home is here for them. We have a Pro-Life Policy enshrined in our Constitution. We do not euthanise healthy animals because we believe that all dogs deserve a second chance, there is no time-limit placed on animals in our care, we continuously provide the best care and support to our dogs in kennel or foster care until a loving home can be found.

 

Unfortunately, and only on the advice of a veterinarian, will an ill dog in our care be humanely put to sleep. However, we are grateful to be able to say this in less than 1% of our annual dog intake. Without the continuous backing from the community and generous donations from loving dog people and local businesses, we would not be able to provide the vital care needed to look after all the dogs that pass through our gates.
